Treasure Valley & Valley County communities

From downtown Boise and Eagle’s foothills to the lakes and mountains around McCall, explore where you might feel most at home.

About the Treasure Valley

The Treasure Valley is southwest Idaho’s largest metro area, following the Boise River from the foothills above Boise west through Ada and Canyon counties toward the Oregon border. It combines a growing job market and big-city amenities with easy access to rivers, mountains, ski areas and high desert.

Each community has its own character. Boise offers historic neighborhoods and a vibrant downtown. Meridian and Star bring newer neighborhoods and family-friendly amenities. Eagle is known for foothills and luxury homes. Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna and Middleton offer value and space, and Emmett is a favorite for acreage and orchard country.

Valley County: Idaho’s mountain getaway

A scenic drive north on Highway 55 brings you to Valley County, home to McCall and Payette Lake, Donnelly and Tamarack Resort on Lake Cascade, and the town of Cascade. It’s a favorite for cabins, lake homes, ski getaways and full-time mountain living, and an area Patrice knows firsthand.
